Coach house, stable block, wall and gate piers. c1849-50. Ashlar; slate roofs with coped verges; ashlar ridge stacks. Coach house range to south, stable ranges to east and west, front wall and gate piers to north, surrounding a rectangular courtyard. South range: 1 storey and attic; 1:4:1 bays, eaves level of outer bays slightly lower; 4 blocked segmental headed coach arches, the 2 central ones with top opening windows in upper half, the outer 2 have doors inserted; stable door to each end bay with 6-pane glazing bar over- light; 6 gabled dormers with shaped and moulded coping containing 12-pane glazing bar sashes with horns; central cupola with lead covered, concave sided cap surmounted by a finial, clock below in circular keyed surround. West range: 1 storey and attic; doors to right of centre and left of centre with 6-pane glazing bar overlights; top and bottom opening windows, one to left, one to right, 2 to centre; gabled dormer with shaped and moulded coping, over each door, hipped louvre to right of centre. East range: 1 storey and attic; doors to right of centre and left of centre with 6-pane glazing bar over- lights; top and bottom opening windows, one to left, one to right, 2 to centre; gabled dormer with shaped and moulded coping over each door; louvres to right of centre and left of centre. Gatepiers and walls: Central ashlar piers of square section with moulded caps, and coped ashlar walls. Contemporary with Calwich Abbey remains (q.v.) built 1849-50. B.O.E. P.128.
