Farmhouse. 1884-5 by George Devey. Coursed limestone rubble, pebble-dash in gables. Plain tile roof with gable-ended cross- wings. Axial and lateral stacks with red brick shafts with brick cornices.

H-shaped on plan. Long central range with cross-wing at either end and entrance vestibule and stairhall to left of centre. The service rooms are to the right (south).

2 storeys. Asymmetrical long west front with projecting gabled cross-wings to left and right, with moulded bargeboards, small pendants, pebble-dash in gable with moulded bresummer below. Between the wings the main roof is carried down to lower eaves. Doorway to left of centre with chamfered stone 4-centred arch, hoodmould and glazed and panelled double doors. Mainly 3-light casements in segmental-headed openings, those on left and right of doorway under eaves arer the stair windows. Right hand (south) return: 4-centred arch service doorway to left of large projecting lateral stack, its stone quoins continuing in the red brick shaft which has tumbled brick set-off; large semi-circular oven to right of stack with tile roof with tile-hung gable; single storey outhouse to left has gable end similar to main gables. Rear (east) elevation has cross-wing to left and right with similar pebble- dash gables; gable on right carried on pebble-dash 2-storey rectangular bay window and corner braces on corbels. Blocked chamfered 4-centred arch stone doorway to left of right hand crosswing and various 2,3,4 and 5-light casements, those on ground floor large and in segmental arch openings.

Interior: Much of the original joinery survives including 2-panel doors and the main and servants' stairs with moulded and stick balusters respectively. The chimney pieces on ground floor have been replaced except for that of the kitchen fireplace. Most of the first floor chimneypieces remain. The partition wall between the front and back rooms in the north cross-wing has been taken down.
