House. Late C17, extended C18, C19 features and date '1840' twice on W retaining wall. Narrow, 2 storeys, timberframed, plastered, facing S with gable end to road. Steep, old red tile, gabled roof. Tiled lean-to timberframed plastered single storey extension on E end, formerly an outhouse but now part of accommodation. Modern timberframed gabled, tiled S porch with high brick plinth and reused old iron casement. Originally a 2 storey house of 2 structural bays with clasped purlin roof and purlins set high to allow headroom in the loft and access by small door in E gable. The external W gable chimney, giving one heated room, was enclosed in a 2 storey W extension probably in the early C18 which had small fireplaces contrived on each floor into the old chimney in the C19. 3-window front with 4-panel flush beaded door into end of middle room further from fireplace. Small-paned wooden 2-light casement windows. High plastered plinth to 2 older bays but lower plinth to W part. Flint and red brick retaining wall now underpins W gable and has 2 buff headers carved '1840'. Timber frame exposed on rear wall between protruding plastered panels. Timbers numbered successively in older 2 bays. Interior has axial chamfered ceiling beams to Ground floor and stair now rises from W parlour against rear wall.
