YEW TREE ROAD 1. 5104 Edgbaston B15 Nos 2 and 3 SP 0685 NW 41/17 II GV 2. C1830-40 pair of semi-detached 2 storey red brick small houses, each of 3 bays with blind centre over doorway. Slate roof overall with overhanging eaves, flanking and central brick chimneys First floor windows, revealed glazing bar sashes, with marginal glazing to No 2, reeded stucco heads with acanthus leaf consoles to thin cornices. Ground floor windows at No 2 replaced by C1860 pilastered canted bay windows with fret to eaves of scalloped slate pent roofs. Those at No 3 replaced by late C19 rectangular bay windows with moulded cornices. Doorways of Lees's Crescent type; 6 panel doors in panelled reveals flanked by slender fluted, flattened columns supporting entablature beneath fanlights of marginal and looped radial glazing pattern, all contained in brick reveal with rubbed brick arch. No 3 has addition of C1850 trellis hood on brackets.
