Large house, now apartments. 1877. By Foster and Wood of Bristol. Snecked rubblestone, roughcast and mock timber-framing with lozenge shapes to small square panels; freestone dressings; crested decorative plain tile roof, 4 stone and brick ridge stacks. Asymmetrical plan. Domestic Revival style. 2 storeys with attics; approx 9-window range. 5 projecting 2-storey bays have decorative barge-boards, the Jacobean-style bay over the entrance to right of centre has a hipped roof and a timber arcade leading to a stone Tudor arch over double panelled doors; the first floor has brick nogging to the timber-framing. The bays are linked at first-floor level by balconies under the eaves. Finials at apex of each of the 5 gables, 4 of wood, completing the decorative barge-boarding, and 2 of red tile. East facade has further gable with finial. INTERIOR: the entrance hall has coloured leaded lights to the stair window and an open-well staircase.
