Villa. 1818. By John Chappel, builder (described as a labourer). Stucco on rubble; asbestos slate roof behind parapet. Double-depth plan with central entrance hall flanked by 2 reception rooms with canted bays at the front. 2 storeys; symmetrical 1:1:1-fenestration to 3-window range. Central elliptical-arched doorway with 6-panel door and spoked fanlight within distyle Tuscan portico. Plinth, mid-floor string, moulded cornice under parapet, carried over flanking canted bays, and key blocks to flat arches over original hornless sashes with glazing bars.
