Cornmill. Late C18, largely rebuilt in 1802 after a fire; extended 1846-48. Extensions by J P Pritchett of York. Red brick with stone dressings; pantile roofs with stone copings and kneelers. Kiln house has pyramidal roof with truncated chimney. 4 storeys 6 window main range, with 3-storey 3-window pedimented extension to left, and 2-storey 2-bay kiln house attached at right-angles at right end. Openings in main range segment-arched, with stone sills. Extension has fixed light windows with glazing bars, and blind oculus in pedimented gable end. Windows in kiln house altered. Buildings in semi-derelict condition at time of list review (1990).
