House, C17 and C18, rubble stone with stone slate roof, rebuilt end-wall and ridge stacks. Two storeys and attic. Two sections, the ridge stack between, the west half C17, the east C18. South front has, to left, C17 ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows, two 2- lights above, 2-light and 3-light below, both with hoodmoulds, the 3-light with relieving arch. Centre door in gabled stone-slated porch. One central dormer. Right section has one dormer to left, two first floor 2-light stone mullion windows and one ground floor 3-light with hoodmould, all flush cyma-moulded. Rear of C17 section has 2-window range of casements and door in mid C19 ashlar porch with slate lean-to roof, front 9-pane shouldered-head window and similar east side entry. To left, 2-light cyma-moulded flush mullion windows, one above, two with hoodmoulds below. House is last building of former hamlet of Upper Foscote, swept away for estate improvements. The Neeld family kept an emu here.
