House, c1840, probably by J. Thomson for J. Neeld of Grittleton House, ashlar with hipped stone-slate deep-eaves roof and octagonal ashlar stacks. Single storey and attic, picturesque cottage style with long-proportioned windows, stone-mullioned to main floor and in narrow half-hipped barge boarded dormers to attic. South front has projecting hipped gable of cross wing to left and 2-window range to right. Cross wing has 2-shaft ridge stack and south end large square bay window with three 8-pane lights to front, and stone brackets to hipped stone slate roof which is carried up to base of 8-pane dormer at eaves of main roof. Main range to right has two 6-pane dormers in roof, door in angle under half-hipped stone-slated porch carried on shafted pier and 3-light window to right with hoodmould. West side of cross wing has central triangular bay window with stone brackets to eaves, half-hipped dormer above. Half-hipped north gable. East side has 4-shaft ridge stack, roof hipped to north and C20 link to east to formerly- detached outbuilding with half-hipped south gable.
