Pair of confronting terraces of artisan houses at right-angles to Fairycroft Road, central path between N (Nos.9-16) and S (Nos.1-8) terraces with front gardens. Yellow gault brick, hipped slate roofs. Date plaque on end of S block 1850. Rectangular plans. 3 storeys with integral 2 storey rear out-shuts. Front, inner elevation: each house has single segment headed window on each floor, sashes with glazing bars, second floor, 4x3 panes, ground and first floors horned sashes 4x4 panes. Doorways segment headed, 9 original doors, beaded flush panels. Houses alternate with mirror image elevations. Round headed rear access passage between pairs and shared chimney stacks. Rear, outer elevations: red brick, single ground and first floor windows,segment headed, 2-light casements with glazing bars, 4x4 panes. Segment headed doorway, door of 4 panels upper 2 glazed. E end elevation: hipped roofs with integral rear outshuts, 2 window range, most now blocked, sashes remain only in S range, ground floor one 3x4 panes, second floor one 4x3 panes. W end elevation: fenestration similar but in reverse. A cast-iron pump stands outside the gate of No.5. C20 alteration includes a C20 porch on Nos 7 & 9 and an early C20 bay window on No.10.
