House, now old peoples' day centre. Probably late C15 or early C16, restored in 1971. Timber-frame and dressed stone plinth with tile roof. 2-bay cruck construction. Single storey with half loft. 2 windows of 2 lights with upper 3-light window between, all with leaded glazing. Left return has cruck truss with tie beam, cruck spurs, collar and yoke with short king post; 2+2-light windows with 3-light window above; right return similar, with braces to king post, and 2+2-light ground floor window. Rear has entrance with C20 glazed porch connecting with terrace behind; 2+2-light and 2-light windows. Some renewed timber, especially sill plates and rear framing. INTERIOR: cruck truss with upper framing partly filled in, C20 partition below; single purlins with wind braces; chamfered beam beneath loft. A rare survivial in the Lichfield area, which has been restored to its original form, forming 2 cottages until its restoration and conversion.
