Former railway station, now in part offices and public lavatories. 1841 with late C20 alterations. Designed by IK Brunel. Coursed squared limestone; Welsh slate roof, gable facing Tetbury Road; rendered lateral stack corbelled out from first floor to right side, similar cross-axial stack corbelled out to left side. Main range has narrow one-gable front to Tetbury Road with single-storey flat roofed range attached to left, main range extends to rear alongside former platform to right; Tudor style. Main range is 2-storeys and attic, one-window. First floor has one 3-light moulded stone mullion-and-transom window with 4-centred arched heads to upper lights and C19 iron casements in projecting bay with blind sides continued upwards from first floor; coped parapet over first floor with carved ribbon decoration. Similar single-light window in gable above in chamfered reveal with hoodmould; ground floor has C20 window in blocked former doorway with chamfered reveal in projecting bay. Ashlar plinth, flush quoins to left and right angles; shaped gable over has heavy moulded coping corbelled out on moulded kneelers, base of stone finial at apex. Single-storey range to left has C20 windows; C20 glazed canopy replacing C19 original continuous with main range. Stone to ground floor front of main range and range to left re-tooled below canopy, late C20. Left side of main range has two 2-light moulded stone mullion-and-transom windows with 4-centred arched heads to upper lights with C19 iron casements in chamfered reveals with hoodmoulds to first floor; 2 gabled dormers with 2-light moulded stone mullion windows. Right side of main range has two C20 doors, one blocked window; one pair doors with applied moulding forming vertical panels with 4-centred arched head in timber surround, 2 small single-light windows with 4-centred arched heads. Narrow gable to rear of main range has C19 four-pane fixed light in chamfered stone reveal with hoodmould to first floor; 2-light window in chamfered reveal in gable; blocked doorway with chamfered reveal with keyed lintel to ground floor; opening with 4-centred arched head in lean-to to right has pair C20 doors and plank infill panel. INTERIOR has C20 staircase from ground to first floor, C19 staircase without handrail enclosed by timber panels from first to second floor; ground floor has C19 pointed architrave to opening to staircase, no other pre-C20 features noted; first floor has C19 moulded architraves and 4-panel doors, no fireplaces; second floor has timber partition with unmoulded panels, similar 4-panel doors.
