SO 51 SE COLEFORD LORDS HILL (south side) 4/13 The Old Vicarage

Former vicarage to Church of St. John (q.v.), now private house. Late C18 with C19 extensions. Rubble stone brought to courses and rendered walls, slate roof with oversailing gables and decorative barge board to east, 3 octagonal ridge stacks (2 brick, stone to right).2 storeys. Garden front: 4 sash windows, centre 2 breaking forward, under stone hoodmoulds and with Gothick interlaced tracery to left bay and to centre bay on first floor only. Late C20 door in centre bay, left. Main entrance door to south west front (left return from garden front) has 4 panels, top 2 with pointed arches, and interlaced tracery fanlight above. C19 gabled extension on north side with decorative barge board.
