Farmhouse. c.1600. Timber framed, but almost entirely rebuilt in late C17, C18 and C19. Brick; old and C20 tile roofs; brick stacks. Complex plan. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Front has late C17/C18 Flemish bond red brick to right, and C19 brick to left. Brick dentil cornice. Central mid/late C19 open front brick porch with bargeboards. Chamfered segmental archway. Half-glazed 4-panelled door and overlight with glazing bars. Mid C20 metal casements with glazing bars. Some concrete lintels. Roof hipped to left. On right, set back, a C19 brick wing with C20 metal casements. Left return side has projecting gable wing on left. One-window range. C19 casements. Gable rendered; probably timber framed. C17 ridge stack of thin bricks with thin square pilasters. To rear: Irregular gabled ranges. Large central C17 internal stack of thin bricks. Interior: Kitchen and another room have broad-chamfered cross beams and open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers. Chamfered beams. First floor has old 2-panelled doors. Forms part of an interesting group with vehicle shed (q.v.), cartshed and granary (q.v.) and stable, loosebox and archway (q.v.). (V.C.H.: Warwickshire, Vol.III, p.34).
