SU 74 SE BINSTED THE STREET River Hill 4/79 Binsted Place

GV II

House. C18, with C20 restoration. Brick and rendered walls, with a tile roof. Regular front (north) of 2 storeys, 4 above 2 windows. Hipped roof. Red brick walls of Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches to the 1st floor, Dutch flat arches (wider) to the ground floor, cement plinth. Sashes in exposed frames. Classical doorcase, with moulded canopy on carved brackets, decorative fanlight, ½-glazed door, above a flight of stone steps with wrought-iron side rails. The rear elevation is rendered, with irregular fenestration, 4 hipped roofs. At each end there are 2 windows; the east being of red brickwork, the west rendered (with a buttress).
