House, now a shop. C16. Timber frame, close-studding exposed on upper floor at N end, plastered elsewhere. Steep old red tile roof. A 6-bay, 2-storeys, house facing E with large central chimney formerly in 3rd bay from N, and internal gable chimney at S. Continuous side-jetty along the street front. 4 windows to upper floor. 2-light flush casements. Ground floor in 2 parts, with main door and flanking triple sash windows on left. Shop door to right flanked by a sash window with 6/6 panes to left and small divided C19 shop window to right. Door into upper storey in N gable end. Interior has clasped-purlin roof with curved wind-braces and close-studded partitions with tension braces. C17 glazed lattice 2-light window in rear wall. (Pevsner (19.77) 273).
