Stoke House II
Early C19. A house of cubic form, of 3 storeys and basement, with a symmetrical front (south) of 3 windows. Low-pitched slate roof, with a wide plain eaves. Red brick walling in Flemish bond, stone wedge-shaped lintols, with keystones, stone cills. Sashes in reveals, casements to the basement. Stucco porch in Greek Ionic style, with plain mouldings and shafts, plain architrave with double doors (half-glazed), on stone steps. The west facade is irregular but also of red brickwork, the other 2 are of flint with red brick quoins, bands (15 with eaves and plinth), rubbed flat arches and stone cills. Sashes in reveals, also casements, some filled openings; on the east elevation one angular bay and 2 French windows. The rear doorway has a solid frame enclosing a deep fanlight and 6-panelled door. There are small outshot structures with brick walls and slate roofing.
