BROMHAM BROMHAM PARK TL 0151 31/51 Bromham Hall 7.5.52 GV II*

House of possibly late medieval origins, enlarged in the early C17, altered with new windows in the C18 and otherwise subsequently. Coursed limestone rubble, old clay tile roof. Complex plan. Two storeys and attics. West (entrance) front has porch entrance into left hand of three 3 storey stone- coped gabled wings: the windows have glazing bars and some are inserted into larger blocked openings. These three gables are connected to another of three storeys at the left hand by a main wing which has a gabled dormer and two long ground floor sashes with glazing bars. To the south of the entrance front, running at right angles and westwards, is a two storey extension with a hipped roof. Its north face has three sashes with glazing bars to each floor and two similar to the upper floor of the gable end; five similar on south elevation. Central part of the east elevation has a projecting semi-circular bay with three sashes, and another longer bay at the right hand end. Interesting interior of various dates with much early panelling. Home of Royalist commander Sir Lewis Dyve, and of Chief Justice Lord Trevor in the early C18.
