Small country house. Dated 1910, for the agent of the Eastnor Castle Estate. Red brick, hipped plain tile roof and brick modillioned cornice; brick stacks decorated with blind arcading; central open timber bell-turret with ogee-headed top. In a late C17/early C18 style. 2 storeys on a plinth and attics. Garden elevation of 2:1:3:1:2 bays, divided and terminated by chanelled pilaster strips. The centre is slightly advanced and surmounted by a pediment, 18 pane glazing bar sash windows in exposed boxes. The first floor central feature is a variation of a Venetian window, the entablature being marked by a course of brick; the outer lights are blocked and decorated by ovals and drapery; above in the tympanum of the broken pediment is a cartouche. Central glazed and panelled door in a doorcase with a broken pediment on brackets. The entrance devation is E-plan and of 1:5:1 bays. Narrow 18-pane glazing bar sash windows in the centre are divided by pilasters which rise from a first floor string course. Small round windows on the ground floor. The centre is advanced and surmounted by a pediment; panelled and enriched door under a lintel decorated with a swag, all under a flat hood on carved consoles. The wings have chanelled pilaster strips and arch-headed windows. Downpipes have dated rainwater heads. Single storey and attic service wing adjoins at the left (east). The house bears some similarities to Donnington Hall, Donnington (qv) and thus might possibly be by the architect Ogilvy.
