EASTLEACH EASTLEACH MARTIN SP 1905-2005 13/179 Bouthrop House II Large detached house. Mid-late C17, rebuilt early C18; c1820 addition. Ashlar limestone; timber framing to rear, partly rebuilt in random rubble; ashlar chimneys; Welsh and stone slate roofs. Two-storey main block with cellar; 2-storey north range with link at east end. South front: 5-window fenestration grouped 2:1:2, all 12-pane sashes with plain keyed architraves. Plain plinth and upper floor level band; alternating chamfered quoins. Central doorway with moulded 2-panel door and pedimented porch having plain Doric columns, matching pilasters. Projecting eaves; low-pitched hipped roof. Central eaves-mounted chimneys to ends of south range. North: timber framed range mostly refaced in random rubble. Various casements, one leaded on upper floor. East gable end of range has projecting chimney and part of roof truss exposed; 2 single-light casements to ground floor. West end has outbuildng range concealing round-ended bread oven. Interior: Regency fireplaces and architraves to early C19 block. Staircase with stick balusters. Large Tudor arched fireplace in north range.
