Large farmhouse. Part said to be late C14, remainder probably C16, front altered in C19. Rubble stone with rough cast front to later, main, range, stone slate roof, with stone end stacks with offsets and rendered flues to main range, and small stone end stack to right on right hand (earlier) section. Single long main range with several C20 extensions to rear and side. Main range of 3 storeys. Three windows, wide 3-light casements altered on first floor with louvred glass vents inserted centre top, in stone frames, some with internal wooden shutters. Central doorway with moulded wood surround and 6-panel door, all glazed in 2 leaves, with C19 ironwork porch with swept bell roof. Rear projecting stair tower of 3 storeys, with renewed internal stair and 2 small dormers to rear. Each end stack had wood newel stair, now only partly visible. All rooms with chamfered beams on ground floor. On first floor at rear, very small stone framed window with Jeep splayed reveal, originally barred at front and back and formerly with chute through thickness of wall to sill of lower adjacent window. Lower older range to right of 2 storeys and attic has small gabled dormer with twin casements, two 2-light stone mullions on first floor and two 3-light on ground floor, all with square hoodmoulds, with some restored stonework. Interior has very large oak bressumer fireplace with oak newel stair, and bread oven behind originally possibly external and now contained in small lean-to extension probably of c18. Single ground floor room has 2 very large chamfered beams with single stops and original joists, stone slab floor.
