Farmhouse. Late C16, C17 and C18. Coursed squared and dressed limestone to the ground floor, C19 brick to the first floor, (probably formerly timber framed); square-panelled timber framing with brick infill on a limestone plinth, large C20 concrete tile roofing; C19 and C20 stacks. Rectangular early range running north-south with later extension to the south gable end; Cl7 range at right angles to the latter with gable end to the road; C18 extension at right angles rear right. Early range 2-storeys; C17 and C18 ranges 16 storeys. West front of early range with one two-light casement and one 3-light casement to the ground floor; two 2-light casements to the first floor. Two C20 skylights. Single-light, 2-light casement to the ground floor of the extension. Single C20 skylights. All casements C20. No windows to gable end of C17 range. Two-light window with horizontal glazing bars to the left-hand return; unglazed window above with guard bars and shutters above; similar window to the right-hand return; single-light and C19 two-light casement to the ground floor; 2-light C20 roof dormer. Large projecting stack to the early range; smaller projecting gable-end stack to the same range; axial stack. Interior: intersecting beams with stepped stops and square- panelled timber-framed partition and open fireplace with bressumer to the early range. Open fireplace with bressumer and two bread ovens in the adjoining range. C17 built-in cupboard with early hinges in an upstairs room. C18 range to rear contains cider press with rotating yolk; two queen post roof trusses to the same range.
