HARESFIELD - SO 81 SW 4/182 Pool Farmhouse 10.1.55 II Farmhouse. Probably early C17. Square panel timber-framing on stone plinth with rendered infill and stone wing to right, steep pitched concrete tile roof probably originally thatched, grouped ashlar flues to ridge stack to left of centre and single flue on gable end of projecting right hand stone gable, both with moulded cornices. Single main range with 2 projecting gabled wings, to left end and almost to end on right, in stone section, and with full dormer inset immediately right of left hand gable, below stack and with half-glazed C20 door below forming lobby entry plan. Large brick lean-to to rear, later. Scattered fenestration mostly small casements of C19 or C20. Left hand gable is entirely rendered between tie beam and plinth. Stone wing gable has small single light to left of stack, probably for newel stair, and 2 and 3-light stone mullions on right hand return. Interior not accessible but may be of interest.
