SY 7685-7785 OWERMOIGNE CHURCH LANE (south side) 14/39 No. 2 (formerly 26.1.56 listed as Cottage adjoining St Michael's Cottage and GV St Michael's Cottage) II

Attached cottage, formerly two. C18, with C20 restoration. Rubblestone and cob walls, partly rendered and painted. Thatch roofs with block ridging. Brick stacks at left party wall, two on ridge, and one at right hand gable. 1½ storeys. 4 windows, 2 and 3 light wood casements with horizontal glazing bars, renewed. One Yorkshire sliding sash window, left ground, C19. Four 2 light eyebrow dormers. Doors, present front door No. 2 at right centre, plank with one lozenge light, C19. Thatch porch canopy carried on 2 wood posts. Door (to former No. 4) towards left end, plank with one glazed light, wood frame, C19. Not in use. Interior: former No. 4, recess panel cupboards beside fireplace, cupboards have rounded heads and side cupboard. Window shutters. (R.C.H.M. Dorset II, p. 186 (5)).
