Farmhouse; late C16 or early C17, altered C18 and late C20. Painted, brick-nogged timber-framing on random-rubble stone plinth; part painted brick walling; tiled roof. L-plan house, 2 or 3 bay short wing, with end of main block on left facing road: 2 storeys. Facade to road: high stone plinth, boarded door to cellar on right. Timber-framing above, 2-panel high to ground floor, one to first floor in wing. Nearly all windows late C20 casements. Casement window on right, to left shaped head for former doorway: 3-light window to left, first floor rail above slightly lower than each side. To left wall breaks forward for main wing: corner post, brick section with 2-light window; 2 studs. Wall to left rebuilt in brick full height, forming a third of end of main wing: plain string course first floor level. First floor: curved brace on right corner post to wallplate: casement over blocked door: main post to left, curved braces either side to wallplate, left set slightly higher. Two-light C18 or early C19 casement, iron opening light. To left wall breaks forward for main wing: eaves originally higher than first wing, later raised further. Three- light casement in centre of end wall. Roof hipped right end, ridge chimney behind blocked door; hip to end of main wing, projecting lateral chimney set back on left return. Forms group with barn (q.v.).
