CARLTON NZ 50 SW 10/29 Ash Tree Farmhouse and adjacent outbuilding II Farmhouse and barn/byre. Early C18. Coursed squared stone, some brick upper courses to rear. Pantiled roofs with stone copings and kneelers, stone and brick chimneys. 2 storeys, 2 bays with small left lean-to and one-storey right outbuilding of 3 irregular bays, linked to house by a one-storey entrance bay. Double plinth. Boarded door. C19 casements, 2-light except for 3-light at ground floor right. Door and ground-floor windows in bolection-moulded architraves. Upper windows have incomplete carved jambs, perhaps brought from elsewhere. Stable _ door and 2 small windows in outbuilding. Interior: stout transverse beams and heck partition with built-in settle.
