Threshing barn and granary, with attached threshing shed. Late C18 with later alteration. Barn and granary red brick in stretcher bond with some limestone quoins and chevron-tooled kneelers. Threshing shed limestone rubble with brick piers. Pantile roofs to both buildings. T-shape on plan. Barn: 2-storey, 4-bay front. 2 left bays obscured by C20 cattleshed extension. Right bays, articulated by plain pilasters, have stable doors. 3 pitching openings to loft, 2 glazed, one shuttered. 2-course eaves band of brick dentils. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. Right return: lower left courses quoined. Shuttered ground-floor window and board loft door beneath divided overlight. Rear: 1-storey threshing shed. Original cart- opening with plank doors and timber lintel in gable end, at right of second, enlarged, cart-opening. Gable apex contains a round-arched opening, now blocked by small-pane fixed light, and partly broken by enlarged ground- floor opening. Interior of threshing shed: second bay from left in barn wall projects and contains a small opening through which passed the drive belt to a steam thresher still in place within the barn. Cattleshed extension at front not of special interest.
