Farmhouse, now house. Late C16/early C17 origin, roof raised and staircase tower added later C17, with later alterations and additions. Rubble, painted, triple roll tiled roof with brick ridge stack to left of passage and gable stacks, some double Roman tiles and pantiles. L-plan formed by late C17/early C18 rear wing; through passage, rear stair tower. 2 storeys and 5 windows, ground floor has three 4-light casements with wide ovolo-moulded mullions, timber lintels and high relieving arches, to right a 16-pane fixed light, 3rd bay from left has C19 shallow-gabled porch with C20 panelled door with side lights; first floor has four 3-light C19 casements with timber lintels and similar 2-light to right, raised parapet to gable ends with coped verges, possibly to accommodate former thatching. Left return has greenhouse and rubble lean-to at lower ground floor level; right return has single storey pantiled lean-to with 4-pane light and double doors to rear, 2-storey rear wing has C20 door with timber lintel, first floor C19 2-light casement, rear of wing has similar 3-light casement with timber lintel at ground floor, lintel only remaining at first floor; inner side of rear wing has at ground floor two 2-light C20 casements, to right with heavy timber lintel, smaller 2-light casement and single light at first floor. Rear has to left 8-pane light and 4-pane light with timber lintel, studded door to rear of passage with strap hinges and moulded frame, timber member remaining above and 2-light casement; rear gabled stair tower has 6-pane light at first floor, 2-light casement with wide ovolo mullions, iron stanchions and timber lintel at 2nd floor, single storey lean-to with double Roman tiles in angle with main house to right; to right, 2-light Cl9 casement to cellar, ground floor 3-light casement with ovolo mullions, timber lintel and leaded lights, 2-light C19 casement with timber lintel at first floor, kneelers to roof verges of gable. Interior: room to right has very deep-chamfered and stopped beam, fireplace with heavy chamfered lintel and 4-centred arched door to right, possibly formerly part of fireplace, 4-centred arched door to rear wing, also with deep-chamfered beams. End room to left has moulded and stopped door frame, windows ovolo-moulded inside, end fireplace with stone depressed 4-centred arched head. To rear left of centre room, stone newel stair to cellar, possibly site of original stair to first floor, to rear right, open-well stair in tower rising to attic level with splat balusters, moulded grip handrail and moulded string; C19 roof structure. At first floor, room to right shows line of former roof in plasterwork, similar moulded door frame with heavy plank and batten door with strap hinges, narrower chamfers to beams than at ground floor; similar door to central room, passage along rear of house; end room to left has similar stone fireplace to ground floor but repositioned to left and with hollow chamfer in moulding.
