Vicarage. c1868. Rubble with ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. Jacobethan style. L-shaped plan with double-depth plan to main range, 2 storeys with lower service range extending main range to right. Entrance front: 3 bays. Quoins. Central part-glazed round-headed 6-panel door in ashlar surround with Tuscan pilaster capitals and moulded round arch with keystone, set within paired Tuscan pilasters (the central 2 pilasters breaking forward slightly), carrying Doric frieze and cornice. Above, 3- light mullion and transom window above apron with flanking scrolls and below pedimented gable with ball finials. On either side of doorway, a 2-light mullion and double transom window at intermediate level, that to left blind, that to right to staircase. Moulded kneelers to Dutch gables. Corniced stack at end right. To right, lower service range with Dutch gable to right. Rear (garden front): plinth and string course to all sections of facade. To right, projecting bay with canted bay window with mullion and transom lights on ground floor, and square bay window with cornice on first floor; Dutch gable with Jacobean finials. Central bay has a 3-light mullion and double transom window with pulvinated frieze. Above, strapwork cartouche with scrolls supporting segmental pediment. Dutch gable to left with finials. Set back to left, service range with 3-light mullion and transom window with segmental pediment. Left return of central bay: 3-light mullion and double transom window on ground floor; 3-light mullion and transom window on first floor. Left return of service range: Venetian window with keystone on first floor. Left gable-end elevation of house: left bay has external stack, corniced and with Baroque decoration at top. Right bay, projecting slightly, has on each floor a 3-light mullion and transom window in architrave, Dutch gable above. Between the 2 gables, corniced brick stack. Interior: hall with 5-panelled doors and niche opposite front door. 2 reception rooms with marble fireplaces, decorated cornices and shutters to large windows. Staircase off hall to right.
