NEWBIGGIN NEWBIGGIN NY 92 NW 14/155 Chapel View
II House. Probably mid C18. Thinly rendered rubble with boulder plinth, quoins and ashlar dressings; roof graduated stone flags. 2 storeys, 2 bays and one- storey, 3-bay rear wing set-back at right. Half-glazed door in tooled plain stone surround to left of centre; almost-square windows have late C19 sashes; flat stone lintels and flat stone sills. Right end chimney with top string. Right return has small window at front of gable; rear wing has partly-glazed boarded door and 2 late C19 windows with flat stone lintels and projecting stone sills. Interior not inspected, but walls appear to be 0.8 metre thick.
