Former farmhouse, now private dwelling. Probably late C16, remodelled in C19 with C20 alterations. Painted rendered stone and cob. Slate roof, asbestos slate to rear, with gable ends; lower ridge level to lower end. Front lateral hall stack with offsets. Small stack at right, lower gable end. 2-room and through-passage plan, the hall at upper end to left heated by front lateral stack with apparently integral rear outshut. Lower end may well have been rebuilt in C19 with small service room at rear and small heated room to front, possibly a parlour, the 2 rooms divided by the staircase which runs up from the centre right-hand side of the through-passage. 2 storeys. 2-window range. C20 fenestration, 2-light casements. Wide lean-to porch with slate roof extends to left enclosing front of lateral hall stack and bread oven projection. C19 4-panelled door to through-passage, the upper panels glazed. Interior. The principal early surviving feature is the gentle ogee-headed timber doorway with iron pintles at rear of hall, leading to rear outshut. Roughly chamfered fireplace lintel replaced in C20. No ceiling beams. Otherwise C19 joinery including doors and staircase principally intact. Roof over hall replaced in C20.
