House. Late C16 or early C17, extended and refronted early to mid C18 with later additions and alterations. Timber frame, brick casing. Part rendered. Tiled roofs. Originally L plan: 2 bay lobby entry with 2 bay cross wing to right. 2 storeys. Entrance front rendered, door to centre with bracketed hood. 4-light casements to left. Double span roof, hipped to left. Principal cross axial stack with 3 shafts, 2 diagonal with a central square. C18 extension projects forward to right with a first floor glazing bar sash under a gable with an end stack. Right return or garden front: C18 brick, 4 windows. 2 ground floor glazed doors, one to centre with a bracketed hood. Tripartite glazing bar sashes. Gauged brick flat arched heads to ground floor openings. Moulded brick eaves course. Fire insurance sign over door. Roof hipped to right. Left return: C18 brick front is a small extension to original timber frame. Entrance to left of centre. 2 and 4-light casements. Dentilled brick eaves below 2 hipped roofs. Gabled dairy extension to left. To rear of right hand bay from garden and in inner angle of L is second C17 stack, slightly extruded with an offset, 2 diagonal shafts. Lean-to extensions in inner angle of L. Interior: much exposed timber. Large brick double inglenook to principal stack with timber lintel, ogee stopped chamfer. Secondary stack to rear has a 4 centred arched head to fireplace, ovolo and ogee moulded brick to arch and jambs.
