TF 29 NW EAST RAVENDALE Parkside 9/52 GV II
Farmhouse. Early C19 with later C19 alterations and additions to rear; C20 interior alterations. Brick with Welsh slate roof. F-shaped on plan: 3- room south wing with 2-room central entrance hall front to left; 2-room west wing with later single-room addition; later wing in angle. South front: 2 storeys, 4 bays, with symmetrical 3-bay entrance front to left. Steps to projecting flat-roofed porch with fluted Ionic columns carrying plain entablature with dentilled cornice; pilasters flanking half-glazed panelled door and radial fanlight in arched panelled reveal. 12-pane sashes in flush wooden architraves with cambered wedge lintels and stone cills. 8-pane ground floor sash to right. Hipped roof. Axial stack to left return. Left return: 4 first floor windows. Pair of canted bay windows with pilasters, dentilled cornices and plate glass sashes, those to front with margin lights. Sash with margin lights in flush wooden architrave to left end. First floor ashes similar to front. Interior contains open well staircase with wreathed handrail and column-on-vase balusters; re-set ornate carved wooden chimneypiece and panelling with carved cornices from South Elkington Hall of c1841.
