House, built as Lodge to Childwick Bury for Sir John Blundel Maple. Dated 1897. Red brick with cream terracotta dressings and Delabole slate roof. Jacobean style. Roughly T plan. Prominent stair turret toward road with a conical roof and chequered stonework below eaves. Tall chimney stacks with clustered cutbrick shafts. Parapeted gables towards road and drive, both with ornate terracotta panels flanked by crests. Obelisk finials. Continuous terracotta bands to plinth, 1st floor and eaves. Long and short quoins. 2 and 3 light mullioned casements. Porch on right front has 4-centres arch door.
