Large house. Early to mid C18 rebuilding, C17 or earlier origins. Raised a storey in early C19. Red brick with stock brick upper storey and repairs. Shallow hipped slate roof. Half H plan, 2:3:2. 3 storeys. Central entrance, C19 panelled door, traceried fanlight and panelled reveals to glazed pseudo Roman Doric porch. To right a glazing bar sash with a moulded frame in a shallow reveal with a gauged brick flat arched head. To left a 20 pane sash in an enlarged opening; Plat bands separate storeys. First floor central 3 bays have 2 glazing bar sashes with a cross casement to left. Sun Fire Insurance marker to right. Second floor small 6 pane sashes. Re-entrant walls to projecting wings have blind openings with gauged brick flat arched heads. 2 bay wings have glazing bar sashes except 2 light casements in second floor to right. Blind ground floor openings on inner bays. Deep moulded eaves soffit. Stack behind ridge to right of centre. 3 bay right return: cellar openings, 2 ground floor sashes, first floor casements with an 8 pane sash towards front. Second floor blind except a 2 light casement towards rear. C18 red brick stack incorporated into stock brick upper storey. Rear elevation has scattered sashes and casements, cambered heads to most openings, flat arched heads and plat bands to left. To left of centre a garden door with a moulded architrave supportingly decorative panel and open pediment screened by a 2 bay timber verandah with a coved roof. Extruded stack with offsets to left. Left return has a ground floor C20 outshut, first floor sash, second floor blind opening, extruded C19 stack with offsets. 1 storey slate roofed outbuilding attached to left. Interior: 4 centred arched fireplace with carved overmantel dated 1734.
