Barn and granary, now parts of a private house. C16, converted to a house 1982. Timber frames on red brick sills (flint panels in deep sill on S side of barn) dark weatherboarding and steep pitched hand made red tiles. New E wing red brick on ground floor but dark weatherboarding above and matching tiled roof. West link to granary (now billiard room) has high flint panelled sill and low dark weatherboarded wall on W with posts and glazed front to court. Added lean-to passage along N side of barn under catslide roof. Linked half hipped brick garage at E and hipped projecting glazed porch at E end of barn. A 3-sided courtyard group open to S. Former barn forms N range. 7 bays with jowled posts, curved braces to tie-beams, clasped-purlin roof with collar and queen-strut trusses. Curved wind braces to purlins. Granary at S end of W range now open to roof (inserted floor on heavy chamfered beams removed in c.1982) is of 2 bays with massive jowled posts, curved braces to cambered tie-beam, mid-height rails in-line, clasped-purlin roof on queen-strut and collar trusses and heavy wall studs. Mortices for a central partition. Named as 'Munchions Farm' on Tithe Map of 1838.
