Row of 11 cottages. Circa 1850-60, refurbished C20. Red brick, rendered below
ground floor sill level, with blue brick plinth. Dentil eaves, hipped slate
roof, brick chimneys. Symmetrical about central passage. 2 storeys; 11 bays.
Boxed 4-pane sashes some with original moulded frames, the ground floor windows
with slightly cambered heads. Each bay has board door, most renewed C20, all
with cambered heads. Left bays have doors to left; right bays have doors to
right. Central semi-circular arch with board door to passage. Built as charity
houses, endowed by James Farmer.
