Description


BROUGHTON EAST HAMPSFIELD SD 48 SW 3/18 Ridding Fold II House. Late C17 or C18. Stone rubble with slobbered mortar, right return painted, slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays. 3 windows to ground floor which have flat arches with rubble voussoirs; all windows have casements. Lean-to porch to central bay is later. Gable-end stacks, that to right corbelled. Returns have attic lights; the right return has later lean-to outhouse. Rear has gabled wing. Windows have casements, but wing has 4-light single-chamfered-mullioned window with dripstone to right return; entrance to left return. Interior has ovolo beams and plank and muntin partition with moulded edges; spice cupboard with door.
