House, largely rebuilt c.1830 on C18 core. Stucco with slate roofs. Main range possibly late C18 refaced in stucco on East front and given a large tower like addition on West side. 2 storey to East, tall 3 storey and basement to West. Battlemented all around and with moulded string courses between floors. East front has two broad splayed bays with later C19 windows with top-lights, triple in centre, single to sides. 2 windows to first floor centre and large French windows to ground floor. Cast iron Gothick verandah across, slim shafts spaced to divisions of house and with pierced spandrels. West front: square plan addition with large 3-window full-height curved bow. Pointed head windows, glazing bars with intersecting tracery survive on first and second floors. Ground floor doors to cast iron balcony. Square-head basement sash windows. Lower North range originally mid C18, 2-storey and attic with 3-storey half-hexagon end bays. Mansard slate roof with flat dormers to centre. Glazing bar sash windows. On West side ground floor of centre has Greek Doric 5-column and respond colonnade, originally open and South end bay has battlements to match main range. On East side bay to North end only. Main door at South end in stucco Tudor arched porch. 6-panel door with traceried oblong fanlight. Interior: marble Adam style fireplace to East side centre room. West side has single large room to each floor. Coved cornice and curved ceiling to ground floor, Gothic flat tracery to first floor ceiling. Fine staircase linking different levels of East and West sides, straight central flights and curved returns each side. Built for Earls of Coventry of Croome Court (V.C.H).
