The north front elevation has five gables (two C18 three of the 1st period), the fourth recessed and the fifth brought forward: each gable contains an attic window, with two windows on the ground and 1st floors separated by pilasters (Ionic above plain); the fourth gable has three divisions of which the eastern one is masked by a projecting two-storeyed gabled porch. This form of elevation is repeated on the west side as two gables and a porch, and beyond at the south side a large projection (the west end of the rear elevation). The wider rear elevation has five unequal gables, and extensions at each side, splayed (3-light) two-storeyed bays beneath the outer- most gables, sashes to the ground-floor (originally a single-storeyed elevation of the early C19) with mullioned end transomed windows to the 1st floor.
