SU 1405 RINGWOOD MARKET PLACE

Inn. Older core to C18 building, altered C19. Brick, some stucco dressings, old plain tile roof. 2 storey and attic. 7 bay with wing to rear at one end and 1½ storey 2 bay C18 building at other, with one end C19 gabled addition over archway linking to next building. Front has added gabled bay over archway to RH. At RH of 2nd bay from LH half-glazed door in doorcase of plain pilaster with console bracket supporting swan-neck pediment. Each side and in between 2 bays, paired small sash windows in moulded architrave, narrow frieze over to moulded hood, large modillions each end and in centre, cornice carries round centre, acorn finial above. Similar single sash to RH of centre. On 1st floor 7 C18 sashes in architrave, 3 in centre, and 2 in end bays. Below 1st floor string corbels to sills. Above door wrought iron sign bracket. Over hanging eaves. 3 C19 gabled dormers with cut bargeboards. Large ridge stack to RH of centre. Small stack to RH bay and stack behind ridge on LH rear wing.
