Farmhouse. c16 or C17, C20 modifications. square-panelled timber framing with curved bracing; rendered and painted brick infill; coursed squared and finely dressed limestone; limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins; Cl9 red brick lean-to extension; concrete tile to the east-facing roof pitch; artificial stone slate to the opposite side; red stacks, one on a coursed squared and dressed limestone base; one projecting ashlar stack with a brick shaft. Rectangular plan with former projecting porch on the east side. Lean-to extensions either side of porch, at the north gable end and to the west front, not of special interest. Two storeys. East front: projecting porch off- centre left with limestone rubble extension to the left. The remainder of the house is timber-framed except the ground floor of the two far right-hand bays which are ashlar built. Gabled 2- storey timber-framed porch with C20 windows comprising single glass panes to the ground floor; 3-light casement with transom and gable projects slightly from the first floor; C20 three-light casement to the ground floor to the right of the porch; plank door; small single-light window within a flat-chamfered surround to the ashlar part; two 2-light casements respecting framing to the first floor; two C20 single pane windows, one above the other to the rubble- built part to the left of the porch. East facing elevation with chimney gable off-centre right; moulded hood of former 3-light stone-mullioned casement now replaced by a C20 three-light casement within the ashlar-built part; single-light 2, 3 and 4-light casements mostly with horizontal glazing bars to the ground and first floors. Axial, gable-end and projecting stacks. Interior not accessible.
