HARESFIELD HARESFIELD VILLAGE SO 81 SW 4/211 The Old Vicarage GV II Former vicarage, now private detached house set alone at the edge of the park near path to Church of St. Peter (q.v.). Said to be 1836 by Fulljames for Rev E.H. Niblett. Ashlar, stone slate roof, square or polygonal grouped ashlar flues on offset stacks, with moulded cornices. Tudor style. Nearly square, with complex gabled elevations of 2 storeys and attic, with probably service wing to left of single storey and attic. Scattered fenestration, mainly 1, 2 and 3-light stone mullions with square hoodmould, coped verges with kneelers. North front has single-storey gabled porch to right with Tudor archway and enriched carved and painted spandrels. Windows in wing behind have arched lights. To left plainer windows and additional Tudor arched door, up steps. Both doors vertical battened. Similar fenestration to service wing. Complete external inspection not accessible.
