GV II

Detached house. Late C17; C19 addition to rear. Coursed rubble limestone; brick chimney; stone slate roof. Two-storey. Front: single-window fenestration, both chamfered mullioned casements with iron casements, ground floor only with hoodmould. Doorway with low pointed-arched stone lintel to left; C20 lean-to porch. Tall ridge-mounted chimney to north gable end. Rear: parallel-roofed addition with 2-light mullioned casement. Interior: large fireplace now reduced in size, spiral staircase adjoining. Ogee beam chamfer stops. Forms part of group with the Bear Inn (q.v.).
