Manor house. Early-mid C17, extended C19. Early range random limestone rubble with dressed stone quoins. Later; roughly coursed squared and dressed limestone, pebble-dashed or rendered in places; stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. Complex plan with a rectangular C17 range on the east with a rectangular C19 range projecting forwards at the left gable end; further C19 extensions at the rear of the C17 range. C17 range: 2 storeys with basement and attic. C19 range: 2 storeys and attic and 2 1/2 storeys and attic. C17 range: twin-gabled south-east front lit by 2 and 3- light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods (relieving arches over two of the ground floor windows). Former central doorway now with window inserted in the blocking. Two- light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casements with stopped hoods to the north-east gable end; single 3-light flat-chamfered stone- mullioned casement with a relieving arch to the basement/cellar; similar C20 two-light casement to the left. Some casements to the C17 range with leaded panes, some with horizontal glazing bars. Extension with hipped gable projects forwards to the left of the south-east front: 4-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casement with a transom and stopped hood to the ground floor of the forward facing gable; similar window to the first floor; band between the floors. C19 gabled 2-storey entrance porch with diagonal buttresses to the right-hand return with a reused C15 casement moulded pointed archway with stopped hood at the front; C20 plank door with fillets within a C20 round-headed arch with C20 dressed stone jambs and imposts with pellet decoration supporting a flat- chamfered arch with a keystone. The arch with the exception of the keystone appears to be reused. Three-light stone-mullioned ovolo- moulded stone-mullioned casement with a transom and stopped hood to the first floor of the porch. Two, 3 and 4-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned casements with leaded panes to the C19 extensions. Gable-end and axial stacks with moulded cappings; flat and stepped coping to the gable ends; some roll-cross saddles with trefoil decoration. Interior not inspected.
