GUITING POWER - SP 23 NW 1/78 The Lodge, Guiting Stud GV II Lodge at main entrance to Guiting Grange, now demolished. Mid C19, probably for John Waddingham. Rock-faced limestone with ashlar plinth, quoins, window surrounds and stacks, slate roof with stone and wood eaves brackets. L-shaped plan with porch in angle. 2- storeys. Gable projecting forward right with porch left, engaged square turret in angle behind porch. 2 storeys. 2-windowed; round-headed sash to turret left with round-headed architrave, large keystone and decorative mouldings at top. Venetian style window to right-hand gable with central sash matching turret window. 3-light window below. All large windows plate glass sashes. Band between ground and first floor windows. Round- headed plank door to porch within ashlar surround with hollow chamfer and incised horizontal joints. Multi-flue chimney with moulded capping and 5 segmental stones set vertically on top. Interior not inspected.
