SANDHURST TQ72NE BOURNE LANE 1350-0/5/177 Bourne Farmhouse 20/06/67 II House, formerly farmhouse. Late C16 to early C17 timberframed 3 bay lobby entrance house reclad in late C18. Exterior clad in tile hanging on brick plinth (part in diaper bond). Steeply pitched tiled roof with panelled late C16 or early C17 brick chimneystack, recapped in C20. 2 storeys and attics, 4 windows 1 C20 hipped dormer. Metal casement windows. C19 brick and tile hung porch with Gothick-headed metal side-lights and panelled door. Central room has large early C17 open fire-place with bread oven removed. Parlour has curved brick fireplaces. Chamfered spine beam with lamb's tongue stop. C18 winder stair. 1st floor has jowled posts and original floorboards. Roof was probably redone in C18 and it has through purlins and queen post with no ridge-piece.
