SCHOOL ROAD 1. 5249 Hampton Hampton House SP 0243 4/103 II 2. C18 with alterations of circa 1860. The core of the house is much earlier including C16 timber-framed portion with exposed timber frame and ceiling beams internally, and which also incorporates in rear portion, part of a C15 rubble building. C18 stone-faced front; 3 storeys; 6 sash windows; plain pilaster doorcase; parapet with ball-heads. Interior: Apart from earlier features, contains good C18 stair case, and pine panelling throughout ground storey.
