Farmhouse. Late C17, altered late C19. Brick-nogged, timber- framed, covered rough render, thatched roof. 'L'-plan. 1½ storeys. Brick plinth exposed. Flush front to road, gable on left. Four-panel front door up one stone step just to right of gable: gabled lattice timber porch. To right 2-light casement window with iron opening light: to left 2 similar. Lean-to extension on left, tiled roof, 2 modern casement windows, one infilling former doorway. First floor similar window in gable, exposed rafters, pendant timber finial at apex. Similar dormer window on right, swept roof. Large brick chimney behind ridge opposite front door. Internally timber framing exposed first floor right end and to rear wall; square ridge, 1 pair purlins: framing seems largely to survive behind decorations. Late C19 photograph shows framing 3 panels high to eaves, thin timber slats in most brick-nogged panels: front door to cross wing in place of left window. Lean-to on left cider house (photograph in possession of owner).
