House. 1624, refaced c.1860. Timber framed with wattle and daub infill and brick skin. Black glazed pantiled roof. Lobby entrance plan. 2 storeys on brick and flint skin. Central door with C19 sash to right and 2 similar sashes to first floor all under segmental arches. To left one bay and lower south single bay extension, both with one late C17 timber casements relocated from elsewhere to each floor. Gabled roofs with ridge stack above door. At rear is gabled cross wing timber framed with later outshut, the cross wing probably late C17. Interior. Cross wing has stopped bridging beam and 3- light diamond mullion window, now glazed. Main range with double stopped bridging beams to both main rooms, that to south with similar wall plate and altered fireplace. South extension bay timber framed but of same date as rear cross wing. Close studding to upper floors. Winder staircase by stack, the treads to attic from first floor original. Stopped spine beams. In alcove by stack in south room is plastered ceiling with stepped pyramid pendant terminating in modified Tudor rose with radiating leaf trails. Frieze survives on 3 sides with griffins. This also 1624. Renewed tie beam roof.
